PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY

We developed a solid experience in control and monitoring systems for electricity generating stations: hydroelectric power plants, thermoelectric power plants equipped only with gas turbine or only with vapour turbine and cogeneration plants as well, for which we are capable of carrying out also the maintenance of the SW and of the electrical equipment and instrumentation.

Hydroelectric power plants:
ELE.COS. S.r.l. has developed a deep know-how in command, control and protection technology of synchronous and asynchronous electric groups up to 20 MW equipped with Pelton, Francis, Kaplan, Cross-Flow turbines. Regulating systems for rpm, power level and voltage of the hydroelectric plants were particularly studied and developed implementing control algorithms, that meet the most strict requirements of technical specifications, for example the ones of "Enel Produzione". Even the automation we supply for power plants meets the requirements of the normalised sequences of the Enel power plants. ELE.COS. S.r.l. also develops plant supervision systems, providing plant alarm acquisition, monitoring and remote control.
Our strong technical specific background allows us to supply complete excitation systems for synchronous generators. We supply static exciters complete with power electronics (fully-controlled bridges, crow bars, etc.), brushless and dynamo voltage regulators. (Download the SED-635 BROCHURE )

Thermoelectric power plants:
ELE.COS. S.r.l. supplies control systems for thermoelectric power plants with vapour turbine and gas turbine, as well as for plants using energy-vapour combined cycles.

The plant supervision system implemented by ELE.COS. S.r.l. controls turbo-generators, heaters, super-heaters, cooling towers, auxiliary plants, fumes analysis, electricity and gas cabinets, etc.. We developed algorithms to calculate hourly averages, floating averages, totals, energy amounts and yield.
